Terms Of Service
These Terms of Service apply to bookings and services provided by Smithies Karaoke and DJ Hire.
1. Bookings
A booking is subject to availability and is not confirmed until Smithies Karaoke and DJ Hire has accepted the booking and any required deposit has been received.
2. Services
Services are provided according to the agreed booking, quotation or invoice. Customers must provide accurate event information and reasonable access to the event location.
3. Payments
All payments must be made by the due dates stated on the applicable invoice or booking documentation. Full payment is required before services are provided unless otherwise agreed in writing.
4. Deposits
Unless otherwise agreed, a non-refundable deposit of $100 is required within 3 business days of booking confirmation. The deposit is applied toward the total event balance.
5. Cancellations and Rescheduling
Cancellation or rescheduling requests must be made as soon as possible and are subject to the applicable booking and deposit terms, availability and any rights provided by Australian Consumer Law.
6. Customer Responsibilities
The customer is responsible for providing a safe and suitable working environment, appropriate access, and any venue permissions required for the services.
7. Equipment
Smithies Karaoke and DJ Hire will determine the equipment reasonably required for the agreed service. Customers must not misuse, move or interfere with equipment without permission.
8. Delays and Events Outside Our Control
Smithies Karaoke and DJ Hire will take reasonable steps to deliver the booked service. Events outside reasonable control may affect service delivery, including venue restrictions, severe weather, emergencies, illness or equipment failure.
9. Liability
Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any consumer guarantee, right or remedy that cannot legally be excluded under Australian Consumer Law.
10. Privacy
Personal information is handled in accordance with the applicable Smithies privacy policies.
11. Changes
These terms may be updated from time to time. The terms applying to an accepted booking will be determined by the agreement and documentation applicable to that booking, subject to mandatory law.
