Gift Cards Terms and Conditions
These terms apply to Smithies Karaoke & DJ Hire gift cards.
1. Gift Card Value
Gift cards may be purchased in denominations from $25 to $1,000, subject to availability and any applicable purchase limits.
2. Expiry
Smithies Karaoke & DJ Hire gift cards do not expire.
3. What Gift Cards Can Be Used For
Gift cards may be redeemed toward Smithies Karaoke & DJ Hire services, including applicable karaoke, DJ hire and other services offered by the business, subject to availability and the booking terms that apply to the service.
4. Redemption and Payment
The gift card or its reference/details must be presented or provided when making a booking or payment. The full amount due for a booking must be paid in accordance with the applicable booking terms.
If the value of a gift card is less than the amount payable, the remaining balance must be paid separately. Gift cards cannot be exchanged for cash except where required by law.
5. Refunds
Gift cards are non-refundable except where a refund is required by applicable law.
6. Promotions and Discounts
Gift cards generally cannot be combined with other promotions, discounts or special offers unless Smithies Karaoke & DJ Hire expressly states otherwise.
7. Transfer
Gift cards may be transferred to another person. Once transferred, the recipient is responsible for keeping the gift card and its details secure.
8. Lost, Stolen or Damaged Gift Cards
Gift cards should be treated like cash. Smithies Karaoke & DJ Hire is not responsible for lost, stolen or damaged gift cards where the card or its details cannot be verified.
A replacement may be considered where sufficient proof of purchase and gift card details are provided. Replacement is at the discretion of Smithies Karaoke & DJ Hire.
9. Ownership and Use
The gift card remains the property of Smithies Karaoke & DJ Hire. Gift cards may not be reproduced, altered or used for unlawful purposes.
10. Liability
To the extent permitted by law, Smithies Karaoke & DJ Hire is not responsible for loss arising from unauthorised use of a gift card after it has been issued, except where that loss results from the business’s own breach of its legal obligations.
11. Changes to These Terms
Smithies Karaoke & DJ Hire may amend these terms from time to time. Changes will not affect rights that cannot lawfully be changed retrospectively.
12. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia. Any applicable proceedings are subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Queensland, Australia.
